Let me bring light on the various aspects of our lives. We have two things that mainly constitute our everyday life ( actually there are three, but the third ironically may cause the life to become meaningless, depends on how our timing of utilization.
- First, being our duties, which we are born to perform. We have several primary duties and may adopt secondary duties depending on our second aspect( discussed later). Care has to be taken that the primary duty is not overshadowed due to secondary duties. Now, these duties form the essential part of our life, giving the life it's meaning and creating our identity in this world. We are judged upon how we perform our primary duties and how we handle our secondary duties. A successful person is the one who is able to develop a balance between his/her primary and secondary duties.
- Second, our interests. They are essential part of our life and make it complete and healthy. No, person can be happy and successful by excelling in only one of the aspects and ignoring the other. Both are equally essential. Our interests may even take shape of our secondary duties and also primary duties depending upon the space they take up in our life. But, one should we aware of how to differentiate between primary and secondary duties and interests and how much space we should give to each. If duties form our material body, interests are our soul. Keeping either one unhealthy will lead to consequences we are already aware of.
- Third is the trickiest part of our lives, the worldly pleasures. They will be like ultimate delight giving affairs ,which will tend to deviate you away from either or both the aspects of life. One must brace up in order to make self-conscience strong enough to prevent us from falling the pit of delusions of material pleasures. Beware, they give ultimate but only temporary pleasures of the mind. Their after-effects, if exercised at the cost our duties and interests are very hazardous.
